Ark-Les is a unique organization. While large enough to turn out millions of electro-mechanical components per day... Ark-Les is small enough to devote personal attention to each customer's particular needs. From the basic terminal to the intricate design of the Tap-Touch switch, Ark-Les engineering can develop the device to meet its customer's applications. Among our wide range of switches, customers can often find what they need in a standard configuration or a modification. If custom design is the answer, Ark-Les' staff of design engineers can assist in tailoring specific requirements into a switch product that exactly fits an unique application.
Founded in 1937, Ark-Les has maintained a steady growth through the years, thanks to a strong commitment to product quality and quick response to customer's needs. Today, the corporation maintains four production facilities totalling nearly 300,000 square feet in area, with all the equipment required to vertically integrate the manufacturing process.
Ark-Les Corporation manufactures a product line of pushbutton, Tap-Touch, Pushbutton Tap-Touch, rotary, and custom switches designed for higher power applications ranging from 5 - 35 amps, as well as interconnect devices. These products are widely used in electrical appliances, automobiles, computer installations, and many other electrical products and systems. Also offered, is a series of low amperage rated slide switches ranging from near dry circuit conditions to 15 amps, These switches can be supplied rated or non-rated and are primarily marketed to the power tool, small appliance, and electronics industries.
An effective combination of computer-aided engineering and a sound understanding of customer's needs, has enabled Ark-Les to introduce a steady flow of innovative products to the marketplace. One of the earliest (circa 1950) was the first "Quick Connect" terminal, a concept which today is widely accepted throughout the electrical industry. Some of the more recent are the advanced Tap-Touch switch, the Pushbutton Tap-Touch switch, the Push-to-Start switch, and the Twist Mount rotary.
